Some rambling thoughts about the problems I have with student evaluations of teaching

Teaching evaluations are on my mind once again.  I used to put a lot of stock in student evaluations.  I still find them useful, but the systems we have in place are bonkers.  I'm far from the first person to notice this.  Indeed, universities across the nation are rethinking how they solicit student feedback.  Nevertheless, I have thoughts on the subject, which I ramble about in the video below.
